Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth

Fit your feet with readiness,

That comes from the gospel of peace.
Take up the shield of faith,
Shield of faith, shield of faith;
Take up the shield of faith,
To extinguish flaming arrows.
Take the helmet of salvation,
And the sword of the Spirit,
Take the helmet and the sword,
Which is the Word of God.
