Preparation: From your supply of crayons pull: one that has a sharp point, one that does not have a sharp point, one that is broken, one that has no wrapping, various colors, some with weird names.
Object Lesson: Ask the children what they see. Allow time for answers. Then be sure they have recognized that some are sharp, some are dull, some are pretty but others are not, some have weird names, some are short, some are tall, and all are different colors . . . but they exist very nicely together! Then ask the children what lessons they can learn from these crayons. (Even though we may be very different, we should accept each other and learn to work together. We need each other.)
