PUPPET SCRIPT - "NOW! NOW! NOW!" - LIFE SKILL: PATIENCE
Puppet (staring at ground): Hurry up! Hurry up! PLEASE, hurry up!
Teacher: What are you doing?
Puppet: I just planted some seeds and I'm watching for my flowers to grow.
Teacher: It takes TIME for flowers to grow. You need to wait.
Puppet: But I want them NOW! Now! Now! Now!
Teacher: Waiting isn't much fun but you’ll have to be patient. A flower does not grow right away. You need to nurture your flowers by giving them water. Water is necessary for all living things, so you need to water them regularly.
Puppet: Okay. What else should I do so my flowers will hurry up and grow?
Teacher: There needs to be plenty of light so the seeds will grow.
Puppet (chanting): Grow seeds grow! Grow seeds grow!
Teacher: Be patient! It takes time for growth to happen. Soon a stem with leaves will push through the soil. Then the leaves uncurl into a plant. Before long you have flowers.
SONG: “Hold On” by Mary Rice Hopkins (Lighthouse album)
VERSE: “Be patient until the Lord returns. Think of farmers who wait patiently for the spring and summer rains to make their valuable crops grow. Be patient like those farmers and don't give up. The Lord will soon be here! (James 5:7-8, CEV)
